“You can sign up for a class by purchasing a class product on our shop page.
To find out the course description, duration, and cost, click on a product. The description will advise if this is a subscription membership or a one-time purchase.
To purchase the course, click on “Add to Cart.” When making the payment, you will then be prompted to create your account.
All subscription memberships are automatically renewed monthly, depending on the selected class membership package. For example, if it is a six-month class membership package, you will be responsible for making six monthly payments, with the first payment being made at the time of purchase. The remaining payments will be taken automatically on the 1st of each month.
If you want to cancel your subscription membership package, please provide us with written notice of cancellation at least 30 days before the next payment due date. To initiate the cancellation process, please contact Natalie at firstname.lastname@example.org.”
“Dance requires commitment, regular attendance, and dedication in order to make progress. Additionally, each class progresses together week-to-week, so being in class is important to keeping up and continuing to improve. However, we understand that as adults, life can be busy. You, your kids, your parents, or your pets may get sick, and you may go on vacation or get stuck at work, etc.
You may make up the missed class by attending another group class of the same level at any of our studios, within four weeks of the missed class. We cannot offer you an individual makeup class or credit/refund for any missed classes. However, instructors will go over the previous material at the next session as a refresher. Furthermore, choreography notes and/or video tutorials are available for some of the classes.”
We recommend wearing lightweight workout clothes during our classes. Although it’s not mandatory to reveal your abdomen, we do suggest wearing a body-hugging top to facilitate proper muscle usage. We perform stretches on the floor and stretch out our arms, so make sure your clothing allows for comfortable movement. To begin with, you may opt to dance barefoot or wear socks before investing in ballet shoes or belly dance T-bar shoes. You may also wear a hip scarf or coin belt to enhance your hip movements.
Unless otherwise informed, all you will need is a bottle of water, a sweat towel, and a hip scarf (if you have one), along with lots of enthusiasm!
Belly dance is a unique and inclusive fitness option that provides a creative outlet and social connections for people from diverse backgrounds. Our dancers have ranged in age from 4 to 76, and we come in all shapes and sizes. You don’t need to be super fit, and you can take it at your own pace.
In class, you will never be required to show your belly. While some dancers prefer to reveal their torso to see the movement, it is not a requirement. If you choose to perform, you may wear a body stocking or belly cover or a full belly dance dress.
“No, belly dance is for you first. However, Dancing Divinity will provide you with many opportunities to perform if you are interested.”
